Hi there!

no, the subject's not an April Fool's Day joke - I've indeed got three new
videos for you!

*1. Rabbit by Jun Maekawa*
Almost exactly 5 years after uploading my first tutorial for the wonderful
rabbit design by Jun Maekawa, I decided to produce a new and better video
for the model. The old video was the last one I recorded with my old
camera. The new tutorial is now in HD, and I hope some improvements in my
presentation also become evident. :)
I've always loved the model, it's my favourite origami bunny out there -
cute and so easy to get looking perfect. So it deserves the best
presentation possible, which I'm hoping I've gotten much closer to now. And
with Easter's quickly approaching, it's the perfect model to fold.
So it'd be wonderful to hear your thoughts on how the old and new video
compare!

Thanks again to Jun Maekawa for this absolutely wonderful design, his
permission to present it to you in a video and all the other work he has
contributed! For example, check out his books

fantastic designs and wonderfully drawn diagrams!

*2. Modular "Star Festival" by Nobuko Okabe*
Early in 2014 Nobuko Okabe published diagrams for her "Star Festival" in
OrigamiUSA's TheFold:
https://origamiusa.org/thefold/article/diagram-star-festival
Now there's also a tutorial on how to fold it - including all 5 variants
and a cone-shaped variant. Also good to know: you can fold a different
variant on the front and the reverse of the model, making it easy to get a
variety of looks. So the model gives you lots of room for creativity -
especially as the look of the model changes drastically if you use
different patterned paper. So do give it a try and experiment!

Thanks to Nobuko Okabe for a wonderful model and her permission to present
it to you in a video. And, of course, for being part of the "Happy Ducky
Folders" with me at OrigamiUSA's Oversized Folding event at the convention
in 2015 ( https://youtu.be/HtYr5n4tupk or

 )!

*3. Coloring and folding in real time: "Star Festival" by Nobuko Okabe*
I recorded myself while coloring printer paper and folding it into the
white/rainbow "Star Festival":

So if enjoy watching someone fold, you can do so in that video. I
intentionally uploaded the video at normal folding speed and added no
verbal instructions etc.
I hear some people find watching and listening to this sort of activity
relaxing, so I hope the video will serve that purpose. 1 hour and 40
minutes of it. :)

And with that I wish you a great weekend and happy folding,

-- Sara
