Boesner sells "Steinpapier" (stone paper) that claims to be made from 80% limestone powder, not using any wood. It is basically impossible to rip and very heavy. I know a couple Origami friends (f.e. Melina Hermsen, Daniel Chang) who work with it, but personally I didn't see the value. For me it feels and behaves very weird.
