I am writing to you to let you know about an interesting (online) lecture being given by one of our wonderful colleagues --- Tom Hull. He is known worldwide for his work on mathematics and origami. On February 20^th , as a part of the Winter Speaker Series at the Newport Art Museum, he will discussing how origami lends itself to mathematical study and also how origami-math has inspired scientific applications as well as influenced origami as an artistic medium.
