For many years (15-20?) I've been buying 8.5x11" Scrapbook Paper in "books" or pads (you just tear the pages out) that is just slightly heavier than regular 20lb letterpaper. I think the ink adds a tiny bit of "weight"; I estimate it is equivalent to 24lb letterpaper. It is *not* cardstock, I use it just like letterpaper for all kinds of things, but mainly folding. One side is white and the other side has patterns. The patterns are many and varied. I also found this same paper, with patterns, in 8" size books/pads, and sometimes in 6" size. It is important to feel the paper before you buy, as the packages are often not accurately labeled.
--- Until the last 3-5 years, I could find many colors/patterns available at Michaels, Joanns, and big stationery stores, and sometimes via Amazon and probably other places. But in the last 3-5 years, availability has taken a nose-dive. I have a nice stock of this paper and haven't bought any in at least 2 years, and the selection was thin then. No idea what's available now. --- One exception might be the stationery stores. I think they still sell packs of decoratively-printed letterpaper, for writing letters. Usually the color/pattern is a border only, but sometimes you can find them with an all-over pattern. They do tend to be more expensive. /// On Thu, May 11, 2023 at 1:24 PM gera...@neorigami.com <gera...@neorigami.com> wrote: > Thank you, Vishakha.
