Thank you to all who replied privately or through the list. By the way, I made a mistake in my email. I meant that the ones on Gilad's Origami Page are either modulars or are NOT older than Nakashima's video. Oops!
For now, the oldest version I've found is by Kunihiko Kasahara, "Decorative Stand" in The Art and Wonder of Origami (2004). It's not the 80s, like David Mitchell mentioned, but I haven't been able to find an older version than that one. And, there's always the chance that Mr. Kasahara had created in decades before the book, and might have even published the diagrams back then in a Japanese book or magazine. Thank you, Matthew Hayward for pointing me to those diagrams.
