Hey All, Below is a message compilation from Kimberly Terasaki who is looking to commission any origami artists/folders out there who can help decorate her wedding. I’ve mentioned to her about possibly needing folders to seek permission or compensate the original designers if the models are not their own creation. She understands many models she is looking for are most likely non-traditional and modern copyright protected. Complexity level is around intermediate to low intermediate and nothing crazy complex.
Hello, my name is Kim and I’m looking to commission an origami artist to make pieces for my upcoming wedding. Are there any artists who do paid work and might be interested? The wedding will be in Scottsdale, Arizona but I am willing to pay for shipping. My idea is to have origami pieces of mythological creatures (Phoenixs, Griffins, dragons, etc) as centerpieces/decor for my tables. My fiancé is named Griffin, I grew up in Phoenix, and were both big fans of fantasy, hence the theming. I can send you a full list of creatures I’d like. The wedding is in late March. Gryphon/Griffin, Phoenix, Fairy, Selkie, Pegasus, Mermaid, Unicorn, Wizard / Witch, Mothman (moth with human body), Cupid, Tanuki, Kitsune, Thunderbird, Rabbit in the Moon (rabbit glued to a circle basically), Satyrs/Fauns, Centaur, Aralez (winged wolf) If any of these are not possible, no sweat. I can find other creatures to replace them. We will also need multiples of the Phoenix and Gyphon/Griffin because we will have some at our couples table as well.
