December’s Challenge, October's Favorite, Vote for November’s Challenge!

Dear fellow folders of the world,

The CFC is running a monthly challenge, and we invite you to take an active
part in that!

Past

First, let's give some hands to our favorite Recursive
<https://cfcorigami.com/challenge/recursive-designs>model! Actually, there
were two favorites -

Haworthia
<https://cfcorigami.com/challenge/recursive-designs/entry/haworthia>, by Robert
Foord <https://cfcorigami.com/creator/robert>, and Asterisk Fractal
<https://cfcorigami.com/challenge/recursive-designs/entry/asterisk-fractal>,
by Alphonsus Rouis Nonog <https://cfcorigami.com/user/986>!

Present

Many thanks to all who contributed to November’s Classic Art Challenge—The
Birth of Venus
<https://cfcorigami.com/challenge/classic-art-challenge-birth-venus>! It
seems that the muse was difficult to find, but for those who managed, well
done to you!

Voting is open now, so you can explore the creative works and choose your
favorite out of the 6 models!

Future

Our next challenge is “Hearts and Bones
<https://cfcorigami.com/challenge/hearts-and-bones>”!

In Origami 3, by Harbin <https://cfcorigami.com/creator/robertharbin>,
there was a model titled Valentine by Patricia Crawford
<https://cfcorigami.com/creator/patriciacrawford> - a heart pierced by an
arrow. It was one of the first models I saw that combined two objects
together, which was a shocking revelation for me. How could she do it, I
wondered, with my three years (and three books) of origami experience?

This month's challenge is devoted to the heart, but the heart should not be
lonely. Add to it anything you wish. To be clear, we are looking for models
of hearts with something. They could be of any genre, from Modular to
action model, and using any technique, from crumpling to wet-folding.

Anyone can post, either a new original model or your version on a known
model by others.

Enjoy!
