Hi everyone,

For a certain period of time, especially in the second half of the last
century and the first decade of this century, small-mid co-housing
communities developed in Europe, in which several families moved into one
or more buildings offering private and communal spaces, sometimes made
available by local authorities (I remember seeing a particularly
interesting one in Lübeck, Germany), and sometimes acquired with the
members' own money (I am thinking, for example, of Emilia Romagna and
Tuscany in Italy). Typically, the reasons that led several families to live
close together and share and cooperate were critical consumption needs,
environmental sustainability and better social relations as they grew
older.

Are you aware of any co-housing communities among origami artists anywhere
in the world?
Not that origami necessarily has to be a strong unifying factor, but our
shared passion for origami could really become, if we wanted it to, a
trigger for a change that perhaps some people desire. Growing old together,
in an environment that is always stimulating and participatory, is
something I would certainly wish for myself and for any person with a good
heart.
