I'm getting a large number of repeat events to teach origami to mostly boys ad girls, ages from 7-16, but sometimes adult aged events.  I'd like to change out my models that I teach.  I've been teaching a simple cat, salt-celler/fortune teller, samurai helmet, simple mouse and hopping frog.   I've taught an inflateable goldfish and rabbit, based on the waterbomb.    Crane or flapping bird with mixed results.  The petal fold can be really discouraging for kids, and many adults.

WIth that, what other models have you taught to kids/adults with success, especially when you have a large volume and not in a class settings.  Reasonable success rate, and keeping some of the more complex folds to a minimum.   Sinks have proven to be very difficult under these conditions.

Thoughts?

Thanks,

JRSM
