Orion will function as your webserver.
As you can see on the benchmark page, its extremely fast compared to other webservers.
According to the FAQ, there are ideas on shipping Orion as a plugin to other webservers in the future. Please notice that plugins are normaly a slower solution tho.
Take a look at the benchmarks, they really impressed me atleast :)
