yes, ignore this stuff and put your own file there. orion will modify it 
and supply those values and will not touch your settings.

we also provide our own orion-ejb-jar.xml files and it works like a charme.

you can but you don't have to. you can supply an alternative deployment 
directory in the application tag (check the dtd of server.xml) to seperate 
j2ee stuff from orion-specific files.
