Linux and IBM JDK v1.3?

        I see some traffic in the archive that suggests that people have gotten
Orion working on Linux with IBM's v1.3 JDK?  If that's the case I'd love
to know the secret. 
My attempts result in:
[root@box orion]# java -jar orion.jar 
SIGSEGV 11 (*) segmentation violation
        stackpointer=0xbefc0d08
