Weird content in getServletName()

In a taglib, I am printing the content in
pageContext.getServletConfig().getServletName() to get
the JSP page the tag is called from. Very often this
method returns .css-files and .gif-files. 

I am pretty sure I am not using my tags in any GIF images.

Any clues?
