Whoa... this stuff should be on orionsupport, I guess, but the only real
information here is "Look at the data-sources.xml information on
www.orionserver.com/docs/" - generating a data source entry is far from
difficult.
On the other hand, an awful lot of people seem to be unable to FIND that
document (for the
record: http://www.orionserver.com/docs/data-sources.xml.html ) so maybe
if someone wants to spend a little while writing up a "how to generate
datasources" for us, we'd be happy to accept.
That's the general rule, guys: rather than say "Guys from orionsuport
should do ____," write it up. Don't expect that we'll know everything you
want, because typically, we KNOW how to write up datasources - we don't
need to know that, so it doesn't occur to us that others would. (That's
human psychology.) If you figure something out, write up a simple HTML
page about it, and send it to either me or Joe Walnes, with explicit
permission to use it on orionsupport, and your name and email address (the
ones you want us to use). Then when we're able we'll get to it.
A sample:
<html>
<head><title>How To Write For OrionSupport</title>
</head>
<body>
<p>This is a submission to orionsupport. Note the lack of CSS, lack
of frames, lack of dressing. OrionSupport has its own color codes, and
submissions with stylesheets, colors, etc. only make it harder to
integrate.
</p>
</body>
</html>
That's all there is to it.
