Yep and its absolutely fantastic for JSP development. Modified pages are
recompiled in a fraction of the time it takes the sun compiler to do (I
reckon its about 5 times faster). It really helps speed up the development
cycle.
in server.xml add something similar to
<compiler executable="c:\jikes\bin\jikes"
classpath="c:\jbuilder4\jdk1.3\jre\lib\rt.jar" />
