No, i suppose, that R/3 closes and reopens the connections for every
transaction or at least
from time to time (knowing this problem it's easy to avoid it in a
proprietary environment...).

Ah, ok, we evaluated it as Interbase and had some trouble (don't remember
exactly why, but had to do with
blobs, i believe).
