Hello - trying to force the mail through the mailserver :-) the part here is based on the security primer from www.jollem.com and a lot of archive reading. I installed it on my own pc on an application called: dbcm In this application I created a directory called: test and placed 2 files here: secure.htm and non-secure.htm Retarted Orion and when I type: localhost/dbcm/secure.htm I'm prompted to enter userid and password. Entering - from the primer - dave/qwerty gave me access. In order to test it as a *real* website, I changed my host file to have this entry: 127.0.0.0 sec.dbcm.dk and configured the dbcm application to also be a website with a virtual host etc. etc. Entering sec.dbcm.dk/gandium/secure.htm - again I'm prompted to enter userid/password. But this time dave/qwerty is NOT accepted. Entering localhost/dbcm/secure.htm as before still works. Could anyone explain this? mvh / best regards Henrik Skafsgaard Larsen
