Are streams out of the question for Perl5 pattern matching inputs? I hear Perl5 matching and streams don't work well together (dont know why though). I ran into a thread on this subject where you mentioned that the idea was flawed. I am currently using the ORO package from before it was moved to Jakarta, against your recommendations. Is this a really bad idea? Should I just use the Awk package for streams?
