Hi,
According to RFC2445, \N or \n encodes newline. But synthesis doesn't handle 
"\N" and it is always interpreted as a character 'N'. I fixed it and attach a 
patch for it.

Here is the sub-part for escaped-char in RFC2445: 
ESCAPED-CHAR = "\\" / "\;" / "\," / "\N" / "\n")
        ; \\ encodes \, \N or \n encodes newline
        ; \; encodes ;, \, encodes ,
