When using oscar with very new hardware, we need to be able to insert a different kernel and/or driver module(s) into the initial netbooted sis installation kernel and/or ramdisk. Is this possible? If so, what is the exact procedure?

We have tried the SIS FAQ, we've tried various combinations of kernels and the driver module and initrd, but we keep running into incompatibilities between the kernel, driver module, and the libraries that are supplied on the ramdisk as part of SIS. The Gelato supplied kernel boots, but the compiled driver module will not load because of "TxDescriptors option not found" problems.
