Category: Installation Group: 2.2 >Status: Closed >Resolution: Fixed Priority: 9 Submitted By: Benoit des Ligneris (bligneri) Assigned to: Brian Elliott Finley (brianfinley) Summary: SIS patch Initial Comment: I can't reenter the wizard when my /etc/init.d/systemimager init file has already been patched. I had to remove manually the patch lines in packages/sis/script/post_server_install to rerun the wizard. [mdk 8.2] ---------------------------------------------------------------------- >Comment By: Thomas Naughton (naughtont) Date: 2003-02-19 10:23 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=288102 brian checked in the "copy fix" using post_server_install and i briefly tested it last night before cutting 2.2b5 w/ success. marking as fixed. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Thomas Naughton (naughtont) Date: 2003-02-18 10:39 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=288102 if the post_server_install copy completely fixes the problem I would say that it is reasonable, given that last week we agreed the patch method was ok. However, this is assuming that the patch will be removed after 2.2 and be incorporated into the main line RPMs. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Jason Brechin (brechin) Date: 2003-02-18 08:12 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=274641 The "patch" should consist of the new file being put into a new RPM, as it will be packaged later on. You do have an SRPM that can be easily updated to reflect the new init script, right? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Brian Elliott Finley (brianfinley) Date: 2003-02-17 23:31 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=140 Anybody have a problem with me committing the patch as the entire init script in question, then copying it to /etc/init.d/systemimager as part of the post_server_install process? Very simple, re-runnable, etc. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Benoit des Ligneris (bligneri) Date: 2003-02-15 15:50 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=179120 To be confirmed. No problem after a "start_over". I will be able to test again wednesday. It looks like vmware over an export DISPLAY is not working ? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Michael Chase-Salerno (mchasal) Date: 2003-02-15 02:28 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=99742 Ben, if possible, can you paste the lines from the log file that contain the errors here? It will help Brian to debug it. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=109368&aid=686921&group_id=9368 ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by: SlickEdit Inc.
