Does anyone have any thoughts on what the Right Way is to make
distro-specific tarballs? The only thing that I can think of is to run
"make dist" (or whatever) on each target platform that would essentially
run the routines in PackageBest.pm to find the "best" RPMs for the
target's architecture. The PackageBest routines would probably only be
suitable as a starting point because they make certain assumptions that
would not be true in a "make dist" kind of environment (RPM source
directory, etc.).

The only rationale here would be to make smaller tarballs.

This is off the top of my head, and I haven't really thought it through at
all. Does anyone else have any thoughts?
