C3 has done this since the beginning of time. The first package I modeled C3 after did this (way back in the 1.x tree). Since it worked I never touch it - didn't even realise it did this anymore., I don't think I have had to touch it (more than a s/c3-3/c3-4/g type thing) for quite some time.

I'll have a fix checked in in a few hours.
