Summary: incorrect rsync command?

Initial Comment:
During node installation the rsync command fails to
bring over the master script. The rsync command being
used is:

rsync -aL 192.168.1.1::scripts/ace3 ace.master /tmp/

This fails to find scripts/ace3 but if I re-issue the
command by had as:

rsync -aL 192.168.1.1::scripts/ace3.sh ace.master /tmp/

it works and brings the script over. I then have to
make it executable and run it by hand.

I have not seen this happen. It may be due to an out-of-
date sis boot disk. Are you using a boot disk? If so, does
rebuilding it help?
