Category: Installation Group: 3.0 Status: Open Resolution: None Priority: 5 Submitted By: C A Scott (cascott_ak) Assigned to: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Summary: Install failure during network config Initial Comment: We are attempting to build an OSCAR cluster with a series of Linux workstations all running RedHat 9.0. The OSCAR server install is clean until the network configuration. All of the machines are running on a "flat network" (/etc/hosts) without either DNS or DHCP. The install script keeps hanging during the MAC address gathering process. Running either DNS or DHCP on these systems is not an option. The documention seems to infer OSCAR will gather and correlate MAC to IP from /etc/host. We do have the systems sequenced. r/-cas ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=109368&aid=987631&group_id=9368 ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.Net email sponsored by Black Hat Briefings & Training.
