thanks for your replies. I think I understand the planned approach
now. Actually I thought it might be easier to exchange the database
access module in SIS, such that it simply talks to ODA. This would
help keep data in a single place and avoid problems when somebody does
things manually by invoking SIS commands. Keeping SIS data in two
places would require sync mechanisms in both directions, from sis to
oda and vice-versa. I'll have a look into this, now that I know it's
not a waste of time ;-)
