Category: Installation Group: Future >Status: Closed >Resolution: Out of Date Priority: 5 Submitted By: Erik Iverson (eiverson) Assigned to: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Summary: nfs mounts from disktable fail Initial Comment: 2.3b6 on fresh RH9. I have several nfs entries in my disktable file to be exported to all nodes. the client install, however, doesn't generate the directories in the first place, so they can't be mounted. As soon as directories are there, everything works fine. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- >Comment By: Benoit des Ligneris (bligneri) Date: 2004-11-22 21:07 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=179120 This should be a feature request and I agree with Jason : it can be very easily fixed into SIS. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Jason Brechin (brechin) Date: 2003-08-15 17:23 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=274641 Initial workaround: Create the necessary directories in the image (/var/lib/systemimager/images/$IMAGENAME). These will be pushed out, and mounting will occur as expected. Ultimate solution: SIS should look at the given disktable and determine that a directory listed as a desired mountpoint does not exist and create it either at install time or at image build time. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=109368&aid=789500&group_id=9368 ------------------------------------------------------- SF email is sponsored by - The IT Product Guide Read honest & candid reviews on hundreds of IT Products from real users.
