Hey -- I thought we weren't closing bugs until they were tested.

Did anyone test this documentation?

Summary: update docs for current multicast capabilities

Initial Comment:
Make the 4.0 docs accurately reflect what OSCAR's current multicast
capabilities. I suggest that the word "experimental" be used. ;-)

Added the following to the docs, in the release notes:

\item The SIS multicast facility (Flamethrower) is
``experimentally''
  supported. If you are having problems with multicast and
would like
  to experiment please check the {\tt oscar-users} and/or
  {\tt sisuite-users} mailing lists for tips.

From Alex Cresswell [EMAIL PROTECTED]:

I successfully got some multicast installs to work. I had to make some changes manually to get them working. I used Oscar 3.0 Here are the changes I had to make (all other settings in flamethrower.conf were left as default) /etc/systemimager/flamethrower.conf: START_FLAMETHROWER_DAEMON = yes INTERFACE = eth1 # Default Module(s) # [autoinstall_scripts] DIR = /var/lib/systemimager/scripts

[oscarimage]
DIR = /var/lib/systemimager/images/oscarimage

[boot-i386-standard]
DIR = /usr/share/systemimager/boot/i386/standard/

[override_oscarimage]
DIR = /var/lib/systemimager/overrides/oscarimage

Perhaps we can email him so that he can do some
testing/write up?
