Title: [Oscar-devel] RE: OSCAR 4.0 on FC3
Okay I have the problem you're encountering with grub not loaded on MBR, here's the workaround:

on the grub> prompt, type:

setup (hd0)

(you may need to tweak the hd number depending on your setup, this worked for me)

In the mean time I will try to see if I can fix this problem...  I suspect it has to do with FC3's adoptation of udev...

Cheers,

Bernard

Hi Shekhar:

OSCAR currently does not support FC3, however, I manage to get it
working...

I am not sure why your client nodes are not booting - what error message
did you get?  Did it kernel panic?

Anyways, you might want to try my patch and see if that helps - I was
able to go through the entire cluster install without problems (testing
succeeded too).

Here're the steps to apply the patch:

1) download oscar-4.0.tar.gz
2) do the standard ./configure && make install (we assume you install it
to /opt/oscar)
3) patch -p0 < oscar4fc3.patch
4) ln -s /opt/oscar/packages/switcher/distro/fedora2
/opt/oscar/packages/switcher/distro/fedora3

You can start running install_cluster from there.

Cheers,

Bernard
