Perhaps it might be worthwhile to "svn status" to ensure that your PNG files are not modified / corrupted...? (there was a problem a long time ago of the PNG's not being marked as "binary" in subversion -- you might want to rm -rf your docs subdir and then "svn up" to ensure that you have a good checkout...?)
