Summary: Seperate C3 & Python2 RPMS
Initial Comment:
There is another bug/feature related to this:
772381 "Python package for python2 support"
Basically, the 'python2-compat' RPM is needed by MDK9.0
and docs also mention it from the 2.2 release notes.
At a bare minimum
the python2 RPMS need to be removed from C3's area,
with the possible exception of 'python2-compat', the
following could then be added to the c3/config.xml
<rpmlist>
<filter distribution="mandrake"/>
<rpm>python2-compat</rpm>
</rpmlist>
Or possibly the <requires><type>rpm</type> method if
that gets implemented.
I've decided not to do this at this late stage in the
2.3 release process (or even ask to do it) but wanted a
note for post 2.3 stuff.

Looks like dave did this at svn r2923. The python2-compat
remains but I commented it out in the 'config.xml'
eventually this can go away but it isn't hurting anything to
keep it around.
Final cleanup/out done in r2927.

Thomas will clean out the python2 RPMs from the c3 package,
see also bug 1121807.
python2 RPMs also hardcode tcl 8.3...

Hello Thomas,
I think that most of the distro ship python2 now so should
this bug be removed ? Or move it to the 4.0 category so that
you can work on it ;-)))))
