As the institution that make DepMan / PackMan, feel free to de-RPM'ize
those and just have a tarball or whatever else is convenient (if it
helps).
The student who did DepMan/PackMan is long gone, but if you need the
latest source, let me know, I think we still have those in a repository
somewhere...

yes, thanks for the hint!!! Unfortunately the depman srpms are in a
very bad
shape. depman-updaterpms doesn't contain the source which it installs
:-( This
needs some reworking...
