There have been several changes of button text removing ellipses.  Most
of the cases I've seen SHOULD have the ellipses to indicate additional
interaction is expected after the button is pressed.  The lack of
ellipses would indicate the button will perform the indicated action
without further interaction.

Why is this being done?

Why are well established GUI rules being disregarded?
