Title: [Oscar-devel] [Fwd: [Oscar-users] Mandriva 2006 status report ---> moving to 'devel' list
Hi Fernando:

There should already be an updated version of SystemInstaller that works with Mandriva 2006 - I believe you already have a copy of that - if not, DongInn should have it somewhere since I asked him to build it for me.  I'm not sure when Erich will be done with "flattening" SystemInstaller, but perhaps you should just check the updated RPM in for now?  I guess just co-ordinate it with Erich...

P.S. If you do not mind, can you post a svn st on your local repository so that I know what files you will be changing before you check them in?  I still have some somewhat intrusive changes that need to be checked in (regarding RM_Detect Framework) which will touch most of the testing code for packages.

Thanks,

Bernard

This one should have gone to the devel list, I appologise fot it.

My list of items to commit are the following. I would like to know what do you think should be the right order to commit them, or if there is any impediment for commiting some file:

1)add my 'mandriva-2006' *rpm list* to oscarsamples;
2)add a 'mandriva' section to *generic-setup*;
3)commit my changes to most of the packages *config.xml* files;
4)*rebuild* some packages and copy them under the correspondent subdirectory of the package's distro directory (and create them as needed);
5)modify *perl-XML-Simple* setup/scripts: actually it has a variable that says: my $ver = "2.14-2.1.el3.rf", which doesn't work for Mandriva 2006. Any volunteer to work on that?
6)modify *Image.pm* from SystemInstaller, so to add a section for Mandriva (I shall work on this with Erich).

Thanks,
