Hi all,

this one is being present from a long time...

All Mandriva/Mandrake distros explicitly set "PermitRootLogin no" in /etc/ssh/sshd_config by default. In the svn log from the the script "ssh_install" we can see that Francis had changed it so to set "PermitRootLogin yes" (r2221) but soon after that he had to 'undo' his changes due to RedHat 9 incompatibility (r2230).
DongInn just sent me a copy of sshd_config from both FC4 and RHEL4 and in both
cases the line that sets 'PermitRootLogin' is commented, thus enabling this
possibility.

I have re-incorporated those changes from r2221 in ssh_install, since now the incompatibility problem is apparently gone.
Before to commit those changes I would like to hear from you if anyone has
something to say about it.

Thanks,
