The following are some issues pertaining to SUSE Linux 10.0 support for trunk r4967:

1) perl-Qt: I had to check in the RPMs from the distribution media because perl-Qt is a prereq and "make install" and "make test" requires the RPMs to be in the code repository - see the check-in message for more detail

2) TORQUE and Maui init scripts are Red Hat -centric, it sources /etc/rc.d/init.d/functions.  We will need to adapt the script and/or provide separate init scripts depending on whether we're on SUSE or not.

3) PVM's %post scripts failed to create pvm group - RPM still installed fine though

4) Ganglia's ganglia-web RPM puts ganglia pages in /var/www/html which is Red Hat -centric, for SUSE, docroot is in /srv/www/htdocs

5) ntpconfig's post_rpm_install script will fail, I have a fix which I'll test tomorrow and if it's good I'll check it in

6) Nodes installed with image does not have hostname, nor have network started upon boot - this is likely an issue with SystemConfigurator and/or SystemInstaller

7) Minor issues with systemimager-server-bittorrent init script (SIS)

8) No SGE RPM yet - on Red Hat, openmotif-devel provides libraries to build, this is likely provided by openmotif-libs on SUSE, no time to test yet.

Basically I can bring up the Wizard and perform all steps prior to Step 7 (Complete Cluster Setup).  We are getting there...

Cheers,

Bernard
