Here is an update of my work this week, I was able to resolve two things:
1, The DRMAA-Python API has to be modified a bit to work correctly with SGE 6.0u8. The return values from the C bindings have some mismatch with whats expected from the Python API (causing a ValueError). I contacted Enrico Sirola (author of DRMAA-Python) and thanks to his suggestions, I troubleshooted it a little. Now, its fixed and it works correctly with latest SGE version. I was able to submit, control and get job status from a live OSCAR-SGE cluster. :-)
2, I used the JobMonarch with a Torque cluster with Ganglia and understood the format of the output is generates before feeding to gmond so I can implement the same for the SGEGatherer class. Hence, the JobMonarch code should be ready for checkin into the SVN in the next couple of days.
