Hi Brad:
Have you clicked on the
"Help" text for "Padding"? I would assume that it is pretty
self-explantory.
The "Padding" field refers to
the number of fields to pad.
00 = 0, so zero padding = no
padding.
Also note 0 padding = 1
padding.
If you want your nodes to be
node01, node02, put in "2" for padding.
And yes, we'll put a link up
for Trac once everything is finalized, but anyway here's the link:

At the Create Clients step, put 00 in padding.
But client names
still come out like:
node1
node2
etc.
[as a note though, since
reinstalling FC5, things have been going fairly well!]
