Yeah, updating the kernel to the latest version and using UYOK is the
easier route.  I assume fc6 has an updated kernel.

This should not be necessary with the new OSCAR code.

At this point, we do not have much success with getting OSCAR to work
with the ps3, however, if you get any breakthroughs, please let us
know.

On the other hand, I do not see why you can't simply install Open MPI
on the PS3 and have them work with your other nodes.  Though not sure
how well MPI code will run across different architectures.

BTW, to show your support for OSCAR, you can always register your
cluster!  I updated the registration page so that you can put in
"OSCAR 5.1" and "Fedora Core 6":
