I did not conduct careful testing, I just recall using it to uninstall
and reinstall a package in the process of trying to get torque to
work.  I think I started over, and I don't know if it did what it was
supposed to, but I think it "succeeded".  I recall being surprised.

But I thought there was some last minute work on it around release
time and that we had not disabled the menu buttons because it was at
least nominally working, if quite untested.
