It's a brand new installation OS and all. It is OSCAR 5.1 nightly
from Aug 2 2007.

I think you are using the oscar 5 official version. If not, we have to
look into this problem when trunk is stabilized.
Anyway, I assume that it is oscar 5 one. If it is another try after
start_over, can you please make sure that the oscar database is gone
before you proceed ./install_cluster?
