Hi,

As i already said to several people, i doubt the IMPI support can be maintained
on the long-term side if it is not nicely integrated into OSCAR. Therefore some
kind of monitoring framework is mandatory. Such a framework will allow us to
integrate together stuff such as IPMI, C3 (automatic update of node status),
Ganglia and so on.
Without such a framework, the IPMI support could be only a hack with limited
capabilities. If so, working on that will simply be a waste of time. But i guess
we can try to come up with the design of a basic monitoring framework if we take
the time to discuss about the issue.
