If you are sure that this package is the fix, yes, i think it should be added as
a prereq at least for the distros having the problem (dependency in the prereq
config file for perl-Qt or perl-Tk, i do not know which one is creating the
problem).

I also think the current GUI is not been designed for a usage over an ssh
connection, so it won't be perfect. The xoscar effort (the C++/Qt GUI) is
supposed to address this issue, but this is an ongoing development.
