I guess you would like to modify the following line in mkdhcpconf:
print OUTFILE "option domain-name \"$HINFO{domain}\";\n";

If so, in that context, we already know the subnet (e.g., 192.168.0.0), which 
could be used to get the information you are looking for from the Networks 
table:
select rfc1918 from Networks where base_ip=$HINFO{net};

Does it make sense? Did i miss something?
