Just to add a few words about the problem,

in per-Qt-3.009b2 (based on qt3) we have
/usr/lib64/perl5/vendor_perl/Qt/attributes.pm and as far as I can understand,
there is no such call in perl-Qt-0.98.0 (for qt4). And I have no idea of what
this code is able to do....So I can't help :-(

Regards,

Olivier.

Migrate selector code from perl-qt3 to perl-qt4. Then as qt5 seems not
supported and as perl-qt-0.96.0 (qt4) seems stopped, I imagine that this can
become soon an issue....

Olivier,

I am not sure what you are talking about the migration.

What migration are you talking about?

I think that migration is the way to go.....
I'm not skilled enough for that now, but I've seen that many objects are
present in perl-Qt-0.96.0 (based on qt4). only a few things that I don't
understand are "used".

I think that some one who is familiar with perl oriented object programming can
migrate this code easily. (IMHO)

Then, I think that in future release of oscar, as we said earlier, a new GUI is
needed. IMHO, I'm a big fan of Qt, but I must admit that perl and Qt seems not
very friendly :)

Olivier.

PS: I've noticed that many opkgs are not in /etc/oscar/oscar-packager/*.cfg,
I'll add those tomorrow.
atftp, atftp-server,
opkg-{ntpconfig,networking,mtaconfig,mpich,disable-services}*

Hi Olivier,

I have tried to build a deb package with the src rpm of the downloads page and
I could not complete packaging because of the missing package / command,
"dcopidl" which is available in kdelibs3-devel on RHEL6.

I can not find "dcopidl" on ubuntu 12.*

Anyone has seen or used it?

I wonder if we even have selector working on the deb based system.

Big issue.

perl-Qt-3.009b2 used by Selector.pl is based on qt3 and is really different
(apparently) from perl-Qt-0.96.0 based on Qt4.

DongInn, I'm not skilled enough to fix this now, can you have a quick look at
this?
perl-Qt-0.96.0 is available for fedora-17+, ubuntu-12.10 + (package
libqtcore4-perl and libqtgui4-perl)
I think that it should be easily built on centos6......

What do you think? How did it worked in the past (debian-5-x86_64) ?

Olivier.

Now bootstrap is stopped by missing Qt.pm. Need perl-Qt or libqt-perl
apparently...

Will look at this tomorrow........
