Actually, RH has typically puts a script in /etc/cron.daily that runs
"tmpwatch" with varying frequencies (tmpwatch removes files older than a
specified time frame). This is not an OSCAR thing, it's a RH thing.
See tmpwatch(8) and the contents of your /etc/cron.*/ directories; you can
modify the frequnency, maximum age, and directories that tmpwatch is run
on (or stop it running altogether).
