OSCAR 1.2.1 only works with RedHat 7.1 at the moment. We should be
releasing RedHat 7.2 real soon now (any day). There is a lot of work
being done on Mandrake for OSCAR 1.3, but that's not due out for weeks
yet.
So, my advice is to use RH 7.1 if you intend to use OSCAR -- it is a
well traveled path and everyone on the mailing list can help if anything
should break. If you choose to run Mandrake, you'll be doing a bit of
research just to get oscar running on Mandrake, and very few people on
the mailing list will be able to provide support...
