Sorry... I've been swamped lately. Yes, I did reply in the wee hours, btw. I have a pretty varied schedule. ;-)
So if that test is not working... make sure Maui is running:
service maui status
Make sure the nodes are all free:
pbsnodes -a
Make sure ssh works throughout the cluster as a user:
ssh nodeA
ssh nodeB
ssh servernode
exit
exit
exit
You shouldn't be prompted for any information while ssh'ing.
If all that checks out, let me know.

Hi Jeremy, I have sent this along (twice) to the list but am not getting a response that this has been sent. Can you take a look at my note? Thanks for the help this morning!BTW, did you really write that note in the wee hours of the morning? :> David I am running "Test Cluster Setup" but am having it fail with the message '- simple test taking way too long - there is probably a problem with PBS, exiting." I am logged on as the user (guest) that I built in setup earlier within "Test Cluster Setup." I then, from root, used su guest to log on. I have restarted PBS thinking that the service was down... What am I missing here? :> David David Dustan Puget Sound Data Systems, Inc. Bothell, WA (425) 488-0710 mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]
