I am afraid I might be saying the obvious here. Did
you try "ssh -x" option while executing commands?

  Assuming you are using the below setup,

  RedHat/Windows --> Head Node --> Node(s)

When ssh'ing into Head node, try using "ssh -x". Also
use the _same_ option when ssh'ing into individual
compute nodes.
