Hello, Jason, thank you very much for your advice about PXE booting. I did manage to collect the ethernet addresses. However the clients still refuse to install, but I have a more serious problem now. One of us deleted all the nodes and oscar came up with the message that the nodes were deleted, but the configuration was not updated succesfully ( or something similar). While trying to add them again, the pbs post_clients script exited with an error. Now every consecutive attempt to add or delete clients ends in pbs post_clients script locking the system and closing the session. >From /var/log/messages it seems that the kernel just runs out of memory, but it never did that when adding and deleting clients before. The last message it prints before going into oblivion is "...updating xpbsmonrc file". The xpbsmonrc has multiple entries starting with ICON;pbs_oscar;pbs_oscar;;;
